Two Train Crash, December 17th, 2007, 10:00 hours.

Northbound Union Pacific failed to stop for a southbound BNSF train that was switching tracks.

Nine cars were derailed with the locomotive, six were overturned.

Removing the Engineer from the UP locomotive proved to be a challenge.

Inside of the UP Locomotive, conductors seat is visible in the two left photos. Extensive damage to the engineer's area.

Southbound BNSF train had tank cars with Diesel Fuel and hopper cars carrying plastic pellets.
Only one hopper car was leaking. The other cars were empty with only residue.

The northbound UP train was pulling empty coal cars.

Look, Kyle finally makes a call since graduating from the WFD Academy.

A 1998 Isuzu pickup operated by a 21-year-old male left the turnpike and crashed into a tree shortly before 10:30 a.m., 9-13-05.  The driver was airlifted via Eagle Med helicopter to Via Christi-St. Francis, Wichita.  It took 20 minutes to extricate the driver from the vehicle.  He was transported in critical condition with multiple serious injuries.

More of those pesky Right of Way fires in 1994.  This one was south of town on Central Street.  The Chicago to Los Angeles "High Line".  Railroad workers help pull line.  Not the text book idea of wildfire firefighting but about the only option to stop the fire before reaching the Central Street R.R. Bridge.

This Farmers Oil Company L.P. truck overturned in a construction zone on K-15 highway in the middle of Mulvane in 1996.  This shut down traffic for hours as the truck was unloaded and then uprighted with the help of three wreckers and air bags.

Mutual Aid Firefighters were called in to handle this House Fire on Cow Pal Drive in January of 1999.  The house was heavily involved upon firefighters arrival.  Nice save Jason!

4 car injury accident at K-15 and Rock Road in Mulvane.  Two patients with minor injuries were transported to Wichita Hospitals.  Shown here is Rescue 407, S-357, and A-350.

M.E.S. Director Bob Welch advances a line on a heavily involved mobile home in October 1989.
