Brush 407, 1999 Ford F-550 Cab & Chassis rebuilt in the Sumner of 2014 by Sumner County Fire District #12. Brush body was built by Emergency Fire Equipment in Mayfield, Kansas and cost $35,000. The cab and chassis was taken from retired Rescue 407 and the pump and forestry equipment from retired Pickup 405. The new truck has front and rear portable winch connections. Brush 407 has a 400 gallon water tank, 12 gallon Class A foam system, bumper spray nozzle and a wildland monitor along with all new LED lighting. August 2014 Fire District #12 was awarded a $2,500 grant for the installation of a Class A foam system, 30 gallons of foam and wildland bumper nozzles. This grant is a 50/50 cost share grant which Forestry matched $2,500 for the purchase of this equipment. Pump, foam inductor and manifold being assembled in the shop!
Delivered October 1st, 2014! Truck carries 150' of pre-connected 1.5" hose, 100' of pre-connected 1" forestry line hose and 150' 1" booster hose on rear reel. Thanks to Davis Design & Sign of Mulvane for the lettering and chevron. Pump panel and tool storage. Elkhart wildland ground cover bumper nozzles on drivers side.
